Big Pussy Cat!! by artist Dee Doody

‘Big Pussy Cat!!’

Sumatran tigers more than any other hide their power, strength and ferocity behind a furry façade!

Night Stroll by artist Dee Doody

‘Night Stroll’

Original painting :

medium : acrylic on canvas
size : 1000mm x 800 mm

price : £2500

carriage : by arrangement

This painting tries to capture the peace and tranquillity of a tigress as she leaves her large cubs and takes time out for herself, to walk around her territory in the peaceful yet sound-filled night. The strains on a lone parent to provide sufficient food for three big cubs is enormous.

My thanks go to Andrew Parkinson without whose loan of reference images this painting could not have been undertaken.

Cheetah by artist Dee Doody

‘Cheetah’

Cheetahs may not be as robust as the other big cats but they can still bring down animals their own size with ease.

The Long Wait by artist Dee Doody

‘The Long Wait’

Original painting :

medium : acrylic on canvas
size : 1000mm x 800 mm

price : £2000

carriage : by arrangement

This very detailed painting is of two young male lions lying beside each other, the far lion looking like a ghostly image of the first as the two brothers, both desperately hungry, await the return of the first herds of wildebeest. This is taken from an image I saw as a youth in South Africa and that left a strong mark.

Snow Leopard by artist Dee Doody

‘Snow Leopard
- Master of the Mountains’

Original painting :

medium : acrylic on canvas
size : approx. 3ft x 2ft (90cm x 60cm)

SOLD

The Snow leopard or ounce Panthera uncia - is an animal of the very high mountains of northern Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Nepal and Bhutan. It is one of the least studied of all animals on earth and is, along with Clouded Leopard, one of the most secretive of all the big cats.

High in the mountains this cat with its beautiful thick spotted coat looks down on the world far below, choosing the utter solitude and sanctuary of the highest peaks on earth.
